Street Kart Racing, a leading mobile racing game developer, today announced the launch of the Virtual Supernats, “Virtual Las Vegas” a special in-game event in partnership with SKUSA, the organisers of the main North American kart racing event of the year the ‘Supernats’, after Covid postpones the real-life event.
Developed by the Street Kart Racing team, the mobile game hits the track today on the App Store for iPhone and iPad with the SKUSA Vegas Supernats update.
“Street Kart Racing has a passionate fan base that lives and breathes the world of racing,” said Ross Jones, CEO of Fat Cigar Productions. “Covid has caused havoc with the racing calendars all over the world, and when the main American kart racing event of the year was postponed we wanted to help. We’ve recreated the Las Vegas race track with that glorious backdrop from the Supernats in 2019 and designed an event that racers can take part in from 50 mph Cadet Karts to 70 mph X30 karts.”
“It’s no secret what a challenge COVID-19 has played with the 2020 karting calendar. We’re still gutted to have to postpone the 24th edition in light of the pandemic. That said, it’s incredibly cool to see something like Street Kart Racing making a digital version of the event. Their game is incredibly popular in the SKUSA paddock, and will surely be a small way racers can pass the time while waiting for the real thing next fall.” – Tom Kutscher, SKUSA President.
Famous racing drivers from all around the world have previously raced in the SKUSA Supernats event, including 7 time F1 World Champion, Michael Schumacher and Indycar Champion Will Power.
The live in-game event starts on Sunday 29 November 2020 for 6 days. Players can race each other in multiplayer format or against the AI and beat tens of thousands of players from around the world to become Street Kart Racing Supernats Champion 2020.
Street Kart Racing has been tested for authenticity by hundreds of real life racers including world, continental and national champions. Detailed real time weather means that if it is raining in Vegas, it’ll be raining in the game, affecting race setup, tyre and strategy decisions.
The event is multiplayer and since everyone has similar equipment the racing is always close.
Street Kart Racing is available to download on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. For more information about SK, visit the game’s community channels on Facebook,Instagram and YouTube and website www.streetkart.me
