The racial disparities happening in the world have been hard on people of colour everywhere, but at BESN.TV, we are doing our best every day to make sure gamers of colour have a space and a community to be themselves and take small breaks from our harsh reality. So, with this press release, we bring you great news!
BESN.TV is happy to announce they have acquired Evil Geniuses and YouTube Gaming as their newest partners!
Founded in 1999, Evil Geniuses has a long legacy in esports history; in 2015, their esports team for Dota 2 was the first American-based team to win the The International, Valve’s Annual Championship Tournament. In March of this year, The Washington Post reported that Dominique “Sonic Fox” McLean had signed on to be part of Evil Geniuses.

Google launched YouTube Gaming back in 2015 to try to compete with Twitch in the gaming content department. It started out as an application you could download, but it flopped and was shut down last year with little uproar from gaming content creators whom were just using YouTube regularly. Now in 2020, you can go to the gaming section under “more from YouTube” and search the link to your heart’s content.
Thanks to these two companies, with Red Bull, HyperX and Zaxby’s—along with our partnerships with Google Startups and Start it Up Georgia—BESN.TV is looking for more partners like you in our mission to create a space for black esports players and the black video gaming community.
Sponsorships are essential to growing the esports league market, which is why we are happy to be revealing the very first Black esports leagues in 2021: #BLK10 and our all-women’s league, #PNK10!
Support the growth of the Black esports market!
